We are very grateful to our donors as the scholars were given gadgets and signing of contracts were done.
A Virtual Family Day was recently held with an interactive program. The teams were very inspired that they enjoyed the cheers, songs and dances. Each family showed their creativeness in making a house made of straw with hand cutout as a design with their presentation and explanation of how they were able to accomplish the tasks. After the program, families shared together the food they prepared. It was indeed a great discovery for many that unity is possible even at a distance.
Together with BPLC Cebu, there is twice a month seminar workshop with an expert on childhood development. The seminar workshop is a great help in developing the BPLC teachers to be more efficient, effective and confident in their online teaching. The students are delighted with their play-based learning, which made them more responsive and active. We are happy to note that the parents are very supportive and much involved in the education of their children.
BPLC continued with its Online Parent-Teacher Conferences with the following topics shared to the parents:
- 2-3 strengths and 2 areas of growth.
- Specific examples of children’s work or a learning story of the child.
- Precise instructions on how parents can help support their child for his/her areas of growth.
To develop their spiritual relationship with God, an online Holy Week Program was held. The children wore their costumes of saints or angels. Songs, arts and crafts and storytelling (Kids Holy Week Video) were part of their activities.
